Tiffin Glass - Glassware

Tiffin is a popular United States glass manufacturer with a history dating back to 1888 with A. J. Beatty & Sons and the U. S. Glass Company. The company was purchased by Interpace and produced a line of glassware (Madeira) to complement the Franciscan dinnerware patterns. The final end came to the company in 1980 when production ceased. I also carry some of Tiffin's apothecary jars, Moon & Stars punch bowl/cups, and King's Crown glassware.

Candy/Apothecary Jars

Tiffin (aka U.S. Glass) made containers for other companies. Some held soaps; others, candy. I lump those items together here.

Fan and Diamond

Tiffin Fan and Diamond is a cut glass pattern which, as the name implies, has a fan-like spray over a diamond cut.

Madeira Citron

The Madeira Citron glassware by Tiffin was made to go with several Franciscan Pottery patterns. Try it out with the Greenhouse series, Pebble Beach or Wheat (green). It is definitely not delicate and is quite heavy.

Madeira Cornsilk

The Madeira Cornsilk glassware by Tiffin was made to go with several Franciscan Pottery patterns. Try it out with Garden Party, Sundance, Hacienda Gold or October. It is certainly not delicate but very heavy.

Madeira Pumpkin

Franciscan Pottery had Tiffin make glassware to complement some of their patterns. The Madeira glassware came in a variety of colors. Madeira Pumpkin went well with dinnerware done in autumn colors such as October or any with a splash of orange. It was produced from 1977 to 1978.

Madeira Ruby

Franciscan Pottery had Tiffin make glassware to complement some of their patterns. The Maderia glassware came in a variety of colors. The ruby color is one of the most sought after and hardest to find.

Moon and Stars

Tiffin did not make a large variety of items in the Moon and Stars pattern as Smith, Wright and Fenton did. So far, I have only seen punch bowls and cups in crystal, milk glass and ruby flash.
