Lenox China Company - Dinnerware

Lenox, Inc., located in Trenton, New Jersey, has been in business since 1894 and is still going strong. I came across a piece that was labelled "Made In China". I went to the Lenox web site to investigate and there was no indication that any items were made in a country other than the United States. I made an inquiry and was advised by a company representative that their "fine dinnerware is still manufactured in the United States" but their "collectibles and giftware are manufactured in many of the Lenox owned and operated factories throughout the world."

Adrienne

Lenox introduced their Adrienne pattern in 1966 and discontinued it in 1983. It has a platinum and green rim with a white floral design.

Alaris

Lenox Alaris pattern was produced from 1956 to 1970. It features large gold and tiny gray stars on a cream background with platinum trim.

Aristocrat

Lenox produced the Aristocrat pattern from 1967 to 1993. It featured a cream background with a thick gold embossed border.

Autumn

Lenox Autumn has a cream background with a blue filigree pattern and baskets of fruits and flowers.

Beige Brushstrokes

Lenox Beige Brushstrokes is from their Chinastone line. It has a cream background with beige trim and decoration. It was produced from 1985 to 1989.

Blue Breeze

Blue Breeze by Lenox is another one of their Temperware patterns. It consists of a circle of small blue flowers against a cream-colored background.

Blue Brushstrokes

Lenox Blue Brushstrokes is from the "For the Blue" series. It is Chinastone with blue swirls and blue trim on a cream background.

Blue Pinstripes

Blue Pinstripes is from the Lenox "For the Blue" Series produced from 1984 to 2004. The background is cream Chinastone with a dark blue trim and band.

Blue Tree

Lenox produced Blue Tree from 1927 to 1974. Rumor has it that this was one of Nancy Reagan's choices for White House china.

Bradford

Lenox Bradford has a cream background with gold trim and leaves with pink tulips. The pattern was discontinued in 1958.

Brushwork Beige

The Lenox Temperware Brushwork Beige pattern has a speckeled beige background with a brown and a grey stripe around the border. The pattern began in 1985 and was discontinued in 1989.

Brushwork Bronze

The Lenox Temperware Brushwork Bronze pattern has a speckeled beige background with a reddish/brown stripe around the border. The pattern was discontinued in 1987.

Buttercups on Blue

Lenox Buttercups on Blue, another pattern from the "For the Blue" series has a white background with yellow and blue flowers.

Chalet

Lenox Chalet pattern has an aqua background with tiny white, pink and aqua flowers. The pattern dates to 1957.

Chanson

Lenox produced Chanson from 1959 to 1978. It is a lovely pattern with a white background and delicate blue flowers and platinum trim.

Charleston

Lenox introduced Charleston in 1983. It is off-white with a band going around with little pink flowers.

Chrysanthemum Collection

The Lenox Chrysanthemum Collection was produced in 1989. It is ivory-colored china with gold trim and multi-colored flowers.

Columbia

The Lenox pattern Columbia was one of the Presidential Series. It was produced from 1988 to 1999.

Coquette

Lenox Coquette has a cream background with brown roses and gold trim. It was produced from 1962 to 1976.

Coral Blossoms

Lenox produced the Coral Blossoms Temperware pattern from 1980 to 1985. It has a cream background with a rust, orange and green floral design.

Cottonwood

Lenox Cottonwood, a Temperwae pattern, has a cream background with a simple brown trim. It was produced from 1979 to 1985.

Coupe

Lenox Coupe is a solid cream-colored pattern. The pattern was introduced in 1937. It had a long life span but was eventually discontinued in 1977.

Desert Jewel

Lenox produced Desert Jewel from 1997 to 2000.

Desert Morn

The Lenox Temperware patttern, Desert Morn, has a tan background with what looks to be a brown and blue Joshua tree with a bird in it. This pattern was discontinued in 1983.

Dewdrops

Lenox' Dewdrops is one of the Temperware patterns. The Temperware pieces can go from refrigerator, to oven, to the table and are quite durable. This pattern has white flowers on blue with a white background and blue border. The pattern was introduced in 1974 and discontinued in 1987.

Eternal

Lenox Eternal has a cream background with gold trim. Its production began in 1965.

Fall Blossoms

The Fall Blossoms Lenox Temperware pattern has a beige background with autumn-colored flowers.

Fall Bounty

Lenox Fall Bounty is from their Temperware Line. It has an off-white background with green and blue fruits and leaves. It was discontinued in 1981.

Fancy Free

The Fancy Free Temperware pattern by Lenox has a spray of blue and green branches with a yellow and blue butterfly. A blue trim adorns the edges. The background is a speckled tan. The pattern began in 1977 and was discontinued in 1988.

Federal Gold

Lenox produced Federal Gold from 1987 to 2005. It has a cream background with gold trim.

Fire Flower

Lenox' Fire Flower is one of its Temperware patterns. It consists of vibrant orange poppy-like flowers and trim on a cream background. The pattern was discontinued in 1984.

Floral Fantasy

Floral Fantasy by Lenox was introduced in 1978 and discontinued in 1983. From the Temperware line, it is a bold pattern of white, blue, yellow and orange flowers.

For the Beige

Lenox For the Beige is from their Chinastone line. It has a cream background with beige trim. It was produced from 1984 to 1989.

For the Blue

Lenox For the Blue is a Chinastone series with a white background and blue trim. Pieces from this line could be matched with other "For the Blue" patterns such as "Blue Brushstrokes", Poppies on Blue, and Buttercups on Blue".

For the Grey

Lenox For the Grey is a Chinastone series with a white background and grey trim. Pieces from this line could be matched with other "For the Grey" patterns such as "Grey Brushstrokes" and Grey Pinstripes".

For the Sky Blue

Lenox For the Sky Blue has a cream background with pale blue rim and inner stripe. It was produced from 1987 to 1992 and comprised of pieces to go with the other Sky Blue patterns such as Sky Blue Brushstrokes and Sky Blue Pinstripes..

Glories on Grey

Lenox Glories on Grey is a Chinastone pattern from the "For the Grey" series. It has a cream background with pink and blue morning glories and grey trim. The pattern was introduced in 1985 and discontinued in 1997.

Golden Wreath

Lenox Golden Wreath has a cream background with a gold laurel trim and gold verge. It was produced from 1938 to 1980.

Hannah Platinum

This is one of the few Lenox patterns that we have that is still in production. Lenox produces Hannah with either Gold or Platinum trim. The background is white with a overlay decoration of white scroll work.

Heirloom Collection China Bear

Lenox produced the China Bear Heirloom Collection from 1993 to 1997.

Imperial

Lenox Imperial was produced from 1939 to 1982, quite a long run. It has a cream background with gold trim and a gold leaf border.

Jacqueline

Lenox produced Jacqueline from 1989 to 1994. It features a cream background, gold trim and pastel flowers.

Laurent

Lenox produced the Laurent pattern from 1960 to 1986. It has a cream background with a gold trim on a swirl edge.

Lenox 0388x26-1

Lenox 0388x26-1 pattern is cream and pink with gold trim and a gold leaf border.

Lenox 3479-X524

This Lenox pattern has a cream-colored background with Platinum trim.

Magic Garden

The Lenox Temperware pattern, Magic Garden, has a unique finish to it, kind of bumpy. The design is that of assorted wild flowers on a cream colored background with a rust-brown trim. The pattern was discontinued in 1986.

Meredith

This Lenox Meredith pattern was produced from 1975 to 1976. It features gold trim on a cream colored background with a turquoise scalloped border.

Merriment

Lenox Merriment is one of the Temperware patterns that goes from refrigerator to oven to table. This patterns has a tan background covered with small multi-colored flowers and leaves. The pattern was discontinued in 1986 but seems to still be very popular.

Miramar

To the best of my knowledge, the only pieces Lenox made in the Miramar patern were the salt and pepper sets. The background is cream and they came with either gold or palitnum trim.

Montclair

Lenox Montclair pattern has as cream colored background with platinum trim. It was produced from 1949 to 2004.

Moonspun

Lenox Moonspun has a cream background with white floral embossing and platinum trim. It was produced from 1968 to 1995.

Olympia Platinum

Lenox produced Olympia Platinum and Gold patterns in 1952. The background on both is cream colored. One has gold trim and the other platinum. The patterns were discontinued in 1982.

Peking

Lenox Peking has a white background with an oriental motiff. It was discontinued in 1922.

Percussion

Percussion by Lenox is another of their Temperware line. There were two variation of this pattern. One had the black band at the very edge of the pattern; the other, had it offset from the edge. The pattern was discontinued in 1982.

Poppies on Blue

The Lenox Poppies on Blue pattern is "China Stone", another of Lenox's oven safe lines. The dinnerware has more of a china look than the more ceramic look of the Temperware. The pattern features red poppies with green leaves and what looks like blue leaves or buds. The pattern was produced from 1984 to 2007. For additional serving/complimentary pieces look under the "For the Blue" pattern.

Projection

Lenox produced Projection from 1972 to 1977. It has a cream background, platinum rim and a blue and pink pattern in the center.

Quakertown

The Lenox Quakertown pattern, another of the Temperware line, was discontinued in 1986. The design consists of yellow, pink and blue flowers with green leaves on a dappled cream background.

Rapture

Lenox Rapture was produced from 1972 to 1980. It has a cream background with platinum trim.

Reverie

Lenox Reverie is a cream-colored china with gold trim. It was introduced in 1971 and discontinued in 1979.

Riverwood

Lenox Riverwood was produced from 2000 to 2004. The shape is octagon with a cream background with brown slashes at the rim. Accent pieces have various birds or fish.

Sandflowers

Sandflowers by Lenox is another Temperware pattern. It has a tan background with small blue, white and yellow daisy-like flowers. There is also a leaf-like blue and yellow border. The pattern was discontinued in 1985.

Serenade

Lenox Serenade has a cream background with gold trim and sprays of pink flowers and leaves.

Shell

This Lenox Shell is cream colored with a scalloped pattern.

Shenandoah Cobalt Blue #R304B

Lenox Shenandoah Cobalt Blue is a beautiful pattern with a cream background, gold trim and a ring of blue and gold oak leaves and acorns. It was produced in 1940. The Shenandoah pattern also comes in maroon and green.

Silhouette

Lenox Silhouette is another Temperware pattern. The pattern consists of the typical speckled tan background with white trees and birds. A blue band is found around the edge. The pattern was introduced in 1977 and discontinued in 1987.

Sketchbook

The Lenox Temperware Pattern, Sketchbook, shows multi-colored floral display with butterflies. It has a blue line around the outer rim. The pattern was introduced in 1979 and discontinued in 1987.

Sky Blue Blossoms

Lenox Sky Blue Blossoms, part of the "For the Sky Blue Series", has a cream background, light blue trim and lavendar/blue flowers. It was produced from 1986 to 1992.

Sky Blue Brushstrokes

Sky Blue Brushstrokes is a Lenox Chinastone pattern from the "For the Sky Blue" Series. It has a cream background with blue and green ribbon-like swirls.

Sky Blue Pinstripes

Lenox Sky Blue Pinstripes has a cream background with pale blue rim and inner stripe. It was produced from 1986 to 1989.

Softwind

Lenox Softwind has a beige background with brown branch of blue flowers and a bird. The pattern was produced from 1979 to 1983.

Solitaire

Lenox Solitaire comes in two backgrounds. One is white, the other, cream. The pattern was introduced in 1965.

Spanish Swirl

The Lenox Temperware pattern, Spanish Swirl, has green flowers on a shiny black background.

Special

Lenox not only has named dinnerware patterns but they also produce "Special" pieces. This is where to find those.

Sprite

The Lenox Sprite pattern is a floral design on a tannish, speckled background. The pattern was introduced in 1974 and discontinued in 1981.

Staccato

The Lenox Staccato is another Temperware pattern. The design is done in red, blue and black on a cream-colored background. The pattern was discontinued in 1981.

Summer Harvest

Summer Harvest is one of the Lenox Temperware patterns. It was produced from from 1975 to 1981.

Summer Spice

The Lenox Summer Spice pattern features a spray of summer wild flowers in yellow and blue. This is one of the Temperware patterns that goes from oven to table and is quite durable. The pattern was discontinued in 1985.

Summer Wind

The Lenox Summer Wind Temperware pattern was discontinued in 1983. It has a cream background with orange, yellow and purple flowers. It also has a green border.

Tuxedo

Lenox Tuxedo has a cream background with a gold rim.

Weatherly

Lenox Weatherly is a cream colored china with platinum scalloped trim. It was produced from 1959 to 1986.

Westwind

Lenox Westwind has a cream background with brown, yellow and green maple-like leaves. It is trimmed in gold.

Wheat

Lenox Wheat pattern has a cream background with three stalks of gold wheat in the center. It also has a gold rim. It was produced from 1940 to 1982.

Windsong

Lenox Windsong features a cream background with white flowers with blue centers. The trim is silver. The pattern was produced from 1965 to 1993.

Witherspoon

Lenox Witherspoon has a cream background with a dark floral border. It was produced from 1996 to 2003.

Woodspice

The Woodspice Temperware pattern by Lenox has large cream-colored leaves against a rust-brown background. The pattern was discontinued in 1981.

Wynnewood

Another Lenox Temperware pattern, Wynnewood has a tan background with a spray of light brown leaves and flowers. This pattern was discontinued in 1986.
